“Common Threads: Understanding Indigenous Realities in the Philippines and Guatemala”

UBC First Nations Longhouse
About the event: To explore the common colonial histories and struggles for self-determination in the Philippines and Guatemala, UBC students will be presenting about their work with indigenous communities in both countries.
Join us for an afternoon of storytelling, dialogue, cultural presentations, and a special spread of refreshments in the First Nations Longhouse!
In conjunction with this gathering, a photography exhibit will be housed in the UBC Global Lounge.
