October 10 Talk on the Transnational Dimensions of the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines

There’s an informal talk on the “Transnational Dimensions of the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines, 1942-1945” by David Earhart hosted by UBC Centre for Japanese Research taking place on Wednesday, October 10. If you’re interested, it’s happening at Room 129 in the Choi Building from 12:00-1:30 pm. Bring your own lunch and an RVSP is not required.

David Earhart lives in Vancouver, Canada. He is the author of Certain Victory: Images of World War II in the Japanese Media , a culmination of nearly twenty years of researching Japanese wartime publications. An expert in this field, Earhart has taught extensively on World War II and modern Japanese culture. He was born in Japan, where he lived for many years working as a professional translator and language instructor.
