How do we make sense of the messiness in the methods we use to carry out our research?
The workshop will be led by Dr. Martin Manalansan. It will focus on the methods and methodology of conducting transnational research anchored in the everyday experiences and struggles of racialized im/migrants. With Dr. Manalansan’s long-standing and rich experience of working in queer theory, transnational studies, and critical ethnic studies complimented by his training in ethnography, the workshop is for students engaged in research in these areas. It will be an opportunity for students to work through their own dilemmas, questions, and challenges conducting research with the expertise of Dr. Manalansan.
